Tours and Field Trips

Visitors are invited to an educational presentation and tour of historical VVAPL Humane Society, the Victor Valley’s very first animal shelter.  Tours will accommodate each group’s needs, from scouts, to students, to seniors.

Tours of VVAPL Humane Society include visiting:

  • The cattery
  • Dog kennels
  • Tortoise sanctuary
  • Bruce the Iguana
  • Bob, the over 100 pound sulcata tortoise
  • Various farm animals
  • The medical clinic (Fridays only)
  • Possibly view a dog grooming

Visitors will meet Ambassador Dog Millie.  She’ll stress the importance of pet identification and demonstrate how to pet a dog safely.

Educational presentations will include:

  • Responsible Pet Ownership
  • Animal Safety
  • Tips relevant to season and holidays
  • Live animal demonstrations

VVAPL Humane Society has been saving animals lives since 1958. Education is the key to animal safety, pets having a safe, loving home, and overcoming ignorance so no animal will suffer from abuse or neglect.  Call for availability - (760) 247-2102.
