AV CHRISTIAN SCHOOL’S G.E.T.T. CLUB PROMOTES ADOPTIONS FOR VVAPL

Apple Valley Christian School’s G.E.T.T. Club (God’s Earth for Today and Tomorrow) has a simple mission:  Promote positive stewardship of God’s resources through community service, Christian values, and setting a good example.  The high school members, representing six countries - United States, Brazil, China, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam - put their words into action on Saturday, February 23, 2013 to help VVAPL during Apple Valley PetSmart’s National Adoption Weekend.

According to VVAPL Executive Director Kathy Williamson, car traffic into the complex increased when the club members were on the corners holding up their signs, and stressed that the efforts of the G.E.T.T. Club helped not only VVAPL but also the other participants - Pets Forever Found and the Town of Apple Valley Animal Shelter.  During the adoption weekend, Williamson estimated at least 25 animals found their forever homes, including 2 cats and 9 dogs from VVAPL.  Ambassador Dog Millie gives the G.E.T.T. Club two paws up for helping to make the weekend a huge success.  Visit our Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/vvapl.humanesociety to view our gallery of photos.
