Sterling Inn’s Dog Daze of Summer Pet Event was a barking success. As a pet friendly assisted and independent senior community, Sterling Inn in Victorville wanted to celebrate pet ownership by hosting an event to help the animals at VVAPL Humane Society. The fun-filled morning included music by Steve “Stevarino” Elliott, KQTE 1450 AM Morning Personality, food, prizes, pet training tips by Jason Rae with InsideOut Dog Training, and pet adoptions with VVAPL.
It was absolutely a Sterling Inn team effort. The residents baked dog treats. The kitchen staff provided tasty human treats, and staff and volunteers worked the event. “We thought this would be a great venue to bring awareness to the animals at VVAPL and are looking forward to next year’s event being even bigger,” said Veronica Fuentes, Sterling Inn Community Liaison.
Thanks to generous donations from the vendors and proceeds from the various sales, VVAPL Humane Society received much needed items, such as paper towels, rubbing alcohol, pet food, cotton balls, towels, bleach, laundry detergent, and over $200. “We are grateful to partner with Sterling Inn and are excited to work together to help animals in the Victor Valley,” said Terry Saenz, VVAPL Public Relations.
