Starbucks believes in making a positive impact in their local neighborhoods by allowing Starbucks partners (employees) and customers to come together for community projects that tap into their shared passions. Ten Starbucks in the Victor Valley and three Starbucks in Barstow dedicated their time and energy on April 26 for a community project to help us start the first phase of our future dog park for our canines and our clients’. In one day, a 40’ x 80’ section of dirt was transformed into a beautiful small dog area with benches, shade, fencing and artificial grass. It is a wonderful place for our canines to stretch their legs and prospective pet parents to get to know our sweet dogs.
This is the fourth year Starbucks has helped VVAPL during April’s Global Month of Service, and the first year the three Barstow Starbucks stores joined in the fun. It started with one Starbucks on the corner of Apple Valley and Bear Valley roads and now thirteen Starbucks are saying yes to helping animals.
